Dimapur, May 12 (EMN): Adressing the Mao youths at the workshop, Adahe Neli, Co-ordinator, ProRural-Peace Coalition Northeast India (PCNI), said entrepreneurship can offer an alternative future for the youths and bring concrete possibility of social and economic empowerment to the youth and adults of tomorrow.
Stating that despite the glitter and glamour of technology and wealth, he said many youths faced with uncertainty and hopelessness.
Neli, who is also one of the workshop organising committee members, shared the perspective of the workshop.
The workshop and seminar on ‘Youth entrepreneurship development’ was organised by Mao Students’ Union (MSU) in collaboration with Pro Rural-Peace Coalition Northeast India (PCNI) on May 9 at Kalinamai Village Community Hall, Mao.
Lezo Putsure, Director of Youth Net, stressed on the opportunity in entrepreneurship and availability of resource and also, identifying the right people.
S.Kajichew, Propreitor, North Eastern Group, also shared his success story of becoming a successful entrepreneur.
Pelee Hekha, Managing Director, Modern College Kohima, presented the ardent need of skill-based education system in the society to curb the problems of unemployment.
Heshu Henry, Managing Director, Community Development Foundation, spoke on building foundation skills for entrepreneurship. He imparted training on pragmatic approach to become a successful entrepreneur.
Besü Bosco, Chief Manager of Lead Bank, SBI Regional Business Office provided materials, imparted training on entrepreneurship financial literacy.
The Mao Students’ Union with an objective to help uplift the unemployed youths in the Mao region conducted the workshop to enhance entrepreneurial skills through basic training, workshop and field visits.
Youths from various villages attended the seminar and benefited immensely from the workshop.
