Dimapur, June 28 (EMN): The Entrepreneurs Associates (EA) has organised a commencement day for the outgoing batch of Basic Entrepreneurial Skills Training (BEST) Wave 10. BEST is a program of entrepreneurship for start-ups and aspiring entrepreneurs. Updates on Wednesday informed.
The Wave ten cohorts comprised of 21 trainees who completed the 30-day training program. The objectives of the programme was to immerse trainees into the practicality of business; sell products; interact with successful entrepreneurs; visit sites; undergo apprenticeship through EA vast entrepreneurial network; and develop their own business plan.
The EA also developed interest free loans up to INR 1 lakh called the FOME Award (Feast of Merit Entrepreneur) to support local entrepreneurs. In this regard, four individuals were awarded: Sweyiekul Khatso- INR 1 lakh, Hanchio Longse Shio-INR 65000, Peshum Shiu- INR 50000, and Zavikiebi- INR 50000. The four awardees are entrepreneurs in the production sector.
The general manager of State Bank of India, Kohima, Hepuni Bismark, gave away the awards. Addressing the gathering, he said that there is a need for business houses to maintain proper books of accounts and related documents for bank linkages and inspired the entrepreneurs to persevere and work hard.
Fome was a concept developed by EA based of the Naga tradition of feast of merit, where an individual who acquires wealth shares it back with his community. Therefore, Fome are entrepreneurs who find innovative solutions and take the society forward as part one’s success.
