
Kohima, June 17 (EMN): Proprietor of M/s Multi Builders, Howoto Jakhalu, donated a disinfection chamber and a foot-operated sanitiser dispenser to the Zunheboto District Hospital on June 17. A brief inaugural function was held at the hospital in this regard.
The installed facility at Covid-19 District Hospital is meant for use by all the medical staff and others in general at the hospital, an update from the office of the chief medical officer (CMO), Zunheboto, stated on Wednesday.
The report stated that the chamber has an automatic sensor that can detect and automatically spray the disinfectants on the person's body entering and has the facility of night and day mode.
Speaking at the function, Dr. Shikato Yepthomi, surgical specialist, expressed gratitude to the donor and also appreciated the president of Zunheboto Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ZCCI) for their initiative in identifying and installing the machines at the Covid-19 hospital.
Also speaking on the occasion, ZCCI president Kikheto Muru stated that the proprietor of M/s Multi Builders had not only donated the goods on Wednesday but also donated huge sum of money earlier to the district task force to help them fight the pandemic.
Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Peter Lichamo, in his short speech, expressed his gratitude and appreciation to all the donors towards the hospital.
Asserting that the disinfection chamber was the need of the hour, Lichamo thanked Howoto Jakhalu and family for donating the much needed equipment towards the hospital.
The DC inaugurated the disinfection chamber in the presence of all the medical and police personnel, officials from Multi Builders and well-wishers.
