Dimapur, July 16 In a gesture acknowledging the yeoman service rendered by Dimapur traffic police personnel, Dimapur based Eastern Naga Students’ Union on Saturday took to the traffic points under Dimapur traffic Zone- 1 and soothed the personnel regulating the traffic and the police on duty with refreshment. The mission was undertaken on the theme “Serve the cause.”
The idea was to extend one day service towards Dimapur Traffic Police said ENSUD officials. Lauding the smooth flow of traffic with the efforts of Dimapur traffic police, ENSUD observed that unlike in the past, 80% of two wheel riders now wear helmets and also witnessed disciplined traffic personnel in decent uniform. Traffic regulations have improved comparatively to those past years, remarked the ENSUD on duty.
The only concern was the Zebra crossing which many of the public are not aware of its importance. The officials have felt the need to sensitise the public on Zebra crossing.
The team visited 13 traffic police points under Dimapur Zone-I including Purana Bazaar area. ENSUD officials have, meanwhile, appreciated the concerned authorities for the support in enabling the mission a grand success.
