2nd phase counseling on July 8 at DUDA guest house

In continuation of the 2013 Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) Education Initiative (EEI) for higher professional studies, the federation had conducted the second batch Phase-1 counseling for the technical aspirant students of Nagaland on June 30 at DUDA guest house.
The main objective of such initiative is to provide job oriented study avenues for the poor students of the state and to solve the unemployment problem for the young generation. The Federation, it said, is compelled to take up such herculean task in the state as many general scholarships meant for the poor and deserving students are not being availed.
In this regard, the Federation, without collaboration with any third person/agencies will directly initiate for scholarship for each students from the central ministry and the concerned state government.
Institution/Campus: The counseling was conducted for admitting the students to undergo Engineering studies under Vidya Group of Engineering Institution (VGEI) in three different campuses (Vidya Vikas Institute of Technology (VVIT), Lords and Vidya Vikas Engineering College (VVEC). It may be noted that in the year 2013, the federation had given the opportunity to 77 students from the state under management quota who are now pursuing their second year.
Scholarship: The ENSF shall take up the responsibility for filling on line application for each students enrolled under EEI. In the event of non availability of scholarship, the Federation shall bear 50% of the entire course and the remaining to be paid by the students based on reimbursement policy within manageable range and affordable installment. Under special consideration for schedule tribe and national minority, students securing 44.6% will be eligible to be admitted in the university but without scholarship. However, they need to maintain 55% marks aggregate in the first year in order to avail scholarship in the coming years.
New Courses: This year, the EEI has included Petroleum, Mining, MBA and polytechnic courses apart from other technical studies/engineering. In collaboration with the Vidya group, the ENSF will be managing hostel (s) within the campus to accommodate all students from Nagaland having separate Naga kitchen and management.
2nd Phase Counseling: The second phase counseling would be held on July 8, 2014 at DUDA Guest house, Kohima for both the medical studies at Bethel Medical & Hosmat Hospital Educational Group (Bangalore) as well as for engineering studies. For those technical applicants who failed to attend the first counseling due to some unavoidable circumstances as well as the fresh applicants may attend the said counseling day.
