Dimapur, Aug. 14 (EMN): Eastern Naga Students’ Association (ENSA) has directed students of Eastern Nagas (Myanmar) to register themselves with their respective federating unit or association. The resolution to this effect was taken during the first executive meeting of executive council and advisory board of ENSA held on August 12. The house resolved that no person/ students of Eastern Nagas would be allowed to stay with guardians or in other places without any purpose. ENSA has warned of serious action against anyone found violating its directive. The house also resolved not to allow sponsors without prior information and knowledge of the ENSA. It stated that some Eastern Nagas are taking advantage of receiving sponsorships/fund raising in the name of Eastern Nagas (Myanmar). ENSA has also totally banned employment of domestic workers/ helpers within its jurisdiction. In a joint statement, ENSA president, Nokpai Konyak, and the general secretary, Kailong Leinong, stated that students must have their legal guardians for attaining better education. ENSA has also encouraged the people of Eastern Nagas for home-based education. ENSA has also warned of action against any person who bring students of Eastern Nagas and keep with unknown guardian without informing responsible person/ federating unit. Meanwhile, ENSA has request all the federating units and sub-ordinate bodies to be more vigilant as few non-Nagas of Myanmar are misusing Nagas identity and practising shameful deeds to spoil the image of Nagas in Nagaland.
