Dimapur, June 24 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) has condemned the bombing of the residence of Phom Peoples' Council’s (PPC) president P Chingan by miscreants on June 20 at Longleng town.
Describing it as a “dastardly act,” the organisation stated that such kind of plot to assassinate/ threaten the leader, who shoulders the responsibility of the people, is the “greatest of crimes’ and has no place in a civilized society. It urged the law enforcing agencies to book the culprits involved in the incident at the earliest and award a befitting punishment as per the law of the land.
The Yongnyah Union Longleng (YUL) also condemned the attack, stating that such “violent acts have no place in the society and urged district administration and police to investigate and find out the motive behind the incident and arrest the Culprit.”
The Union further appealed to all the sections of the society to maintain peace and harmony and requested all the right thinking citizens to condemn and stop such crime.
