Dimapur, June 18 (EMN): Eastern Nagaland Peoples Organisation (ENPO) along with its six federating tribal bodies have vehemently condemned the June 17 incident in which three security personnel belonging to the Assam Riffles were killed besides injuring six in an ambush near Tenyak river about 2 km away from Aboi town.
ENPO media cell has reminded all concerned of its December 18, 2007, Tuensang resolution and subsequent affirmations, wherein the public of Eastern Nagaland have opposed to any form of violence, threats, intimidations or bloodshed within its jurisdiction.
ENPO has reiterated its appeal to all concerned to maintain peace and tranquillity and to honour the same in the interest of peace in the region in particular and the entire state in general. ENPO and the public of the six tribes have further appealed to all concerned to honour the desire for peace and tranquillity by the public.
