The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organization (ENPO) has “fully” endorsed the demand of the Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) to the state government to implement the 25% job reservation policy by all the departments of the state government.
In a press release issued today, the ENPO stated that the decision was to throw its weight behind the ENSF was taken during an “emergency CEC meeting” on July 17 last. “It is to be undeniably noted that, the people of eastern Nagaland are extremely denied of the privileges of the right to employment, and since the creation of the statehood, the privilege of employment as an equal fundamental right is ever elusive from the day one i.e. the 1st of December, 1963.Therefore the ENPO would like to draw the kind attention of the state government to address the demand of the ENSF in the fundamental interest of the fellow eastern Nagas of Nagaland state,” the press release stated.
