Dimapur, August 1 (EMN): To foster a competitive attitude in the minds of younger generation and for furtherance of its people in general, a seminar on career guidance was organised by the East Networking Initiative (ENI), a group formed by likeminded individuals from Nerhema village on July 22 at LCS Building conference hall, Kohima.
The seminar was organised in collaboration with Nerhema Students’ Union (NSU) wherein Theja Meru, proprietor of Heritage and director of Dream Corp; Smt Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa, ADC, Satakha; and Er. Ketoulhoukho Kenguruse, lecturer of Government Polytechnic, Kohima, were the resource persons.In his speech, Theja Meru spoke on the various opportunities in the entrepreneurial sector and how the business world at present is growing. He emphasise the importance on being enthusiastic and setting a realistic goal as an entrepreneur. He also encouraged the participants to have dreams and strive to achieve those dreams.
Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa enlightened the gathering on various aspects of competitive exam for civil services and the different factors involved in preparation for such exams. She also accentuated on the importance of fearing the Lord and reaffirming ones relationship with God in order to achieve their goals.
Er. Ketoulhoukho Kenguruse highlighted the gathering on the various opportunities in the technical field, the different technical courses one can opt for, and the procedures on how to apply for it. He also spoke on how to prepare for the various technical examinations at the centre as well as the State level. The programme concluded with an interactive session.
