Dimapur, Feb. 17 (EMN): Upholding the clean election campaign initiated by the Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC), Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) has appealed all the constituents unitd to vote for the right candidates in the ensuing state assembly elections scheduled on February 27.
ENCSU president, M Longre Chang, and the general secretary, Wangnei C Jessuhu, have jointly appealed to all members to exercise their franchise in clean and fair manner.
ENCSU has appealed all the college students to be ambassadors of clean election to their friends, family and localities. It also requested the voters to exercise their franchise without fear and abstain from corrupt practices.
ENCSU also appealed the candidates to know the value of clean, free and fair elections by considering that they are representing the people of their constituency.
With the successful implementation of clean election, ENCSU was hopeful that Naga society would witness the dawn of peace and harmony in the land.
ENCSU further hoped that Nagas would continue to uphold the principle of clean election even in the upcoming elections.
