Dimapur, Oct 21 (EMN): Reacting to clarification of the Director of Higher Education, Eastern Naga College Students’ Union (ENCSU) has demanded to see copy of the directive given by the central ministry in ‘black and white’ as claimed by the director.
ENCSU has also asked the department to clarify the five points demanded by the union as appeared in all the local dailies on October 18, if the claim of the director was valid. It stated that unless the department comes up with fact and figures, the claim will be just another system of manipulation. It, therefore, questioned the department as to how many years such manipulative system has been existing thereby victimising the students even to avail their rightful share.
Alleging that the department and government divert fund meant for the students scholarship for other purpose every year, the union affirmed not shy away but to stand and safeguards the interest of the students community.
ENCSU further asked the department to immediately justify the irregularities and the total amount withheld from the fund meant for disbursement of scholarship.
