Dimapur, Nov. 07 (EMN): The Eastern Nagaland College Students Union has on Tuesday announced that on expiry of the 7 days' notice to the chief minister without positive response it has decided to launch phase-wise agitation from Nov. 9.
" ... the ENCSU in its Emergency Meeting held this evening at DUDA Guest House, Kohima had resolved to launch phase wise protest against the failure to release the Scholarship by the Government of Nagaland and the Higher Education Department," stated the press release from the union.
As a first phase of protest, the ENCSU had requested all the Naga members of the student community irrespective of jurisdiction and affiliations to wear black badge starting from Thursday Nov. 9.
The ENCSU "vowed" to fight for justice till its demand is fulfilled and stated that the courses of actions for phase wise agitation will be announced through respective federating presidents and print media as well.
Meanwhile, the union requested all the college authorities to cooperate and extend solidarity to its students during the course of the agitation.
