A special registration campaign for persons with disabilities is being held across 10 districts in Nagaland for job seekers.

DIMAPUR — The Department of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship is undergoing a special registration campaign for persons with disabilities (PwDs) across 10 districts in Nagaland from March 1 to the 31st.
As part of the Disabilities Research, Empowerment and Accessibility Mission (DREAM) Nagaland initiative, the objective of the campaign is to ensure equitable, accessible and inclusive registration of PwDs as job seekers for the purpose of employment (4% job reservation as per the Right to Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016, with benchmark disabilities).
According to an update, The campaign covers all the 10 districts where Employment Exchange Unit Offices are established. The data collected from PwD job seekers shall be integrated into the Employment Exchange Live Register.

To ensure wider outreach and coverage, the regional employment officer of Kohima, in collaboration with the district administration, is conducting a special registration campaign for the targeted group up to the sub-divisional (SDO) level.
The Regional Employment Exchange, Kohima, conducted the registration campaign in various locations from March 20 to the 24th under the Jakhama sub-division; under the additional deputy commissioner (ADC) in Chiephobozou on March 26 at the ADC office; and for Kohima on March 28 at the deputy commissioner's office in Kohima.
Special registration for PwDs as job seekers will be held at Sechü Zubza on March 30 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm in the office of the sub-divisional officer, Sechü Zubza.
The minimum eligibility criteria for registration of PwDs as job seekers are Class 8 and 14 years of age. The job seekers should also hold a Unique Disability ID (UDID) or a medical certificate from a competent authority for enrolment.
