DIMAPUR — The Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) Special State Office Dimapur, in association with the Office of the Labour Commissioner, organised an awareness programme at the conference hall of the Directorate of Employment, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, ITI Complex, Kohima, on Monday.
According to an update, it was attended and addressed by Sotsula, secretary, Labour and Employment; Avile Vitso, addl. commissioner, Labour and Employment; K Francis Hekavi, jt. director, Industries and Commerce; Col. MA Farooqui, HQ DG AR (North), Kohima; and Dr. T John Jugli, regional PF commissioner, EPFO Zonal Office, NER Guwahati.
A presentation on the provisions of the EPF Act 1952 and the schemes framed thereunder, with special emphasis on the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY), was given by Samuel Das, regional PF commissioner, EPFO Special State Office Dimapur, Nagaland.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of various employers as well as employees’ unions and associations, who expressed satisfaction with the conduct of such an awareness session in Kohima.
An interactive session with all the stakeholders was conducted at the end of the presentation by Dr. Jugli and Das, during which queries from employers and employees were answered and clarified.
It said that the stakeholders expressed satisfaction with the conduct of such an awareness meeting and the outreach initiative.
