Kohima will face a power shutdown on June 28 from 1 pm to 6 pm due to emergency pole relocation work caused by a landslide, affecting areas like Secretariat and Thizama.

DIMAPUR — Power department has announced an emergency shutdown of electricity supply in Kohima on June 28, from 1 pm to 6 pm. The shutdown will affect the 11KV Secretariat and 11KV Thizama feeders along the Civil Secretariat Road.
According to a notice issued by the executive engineer of Electrical Division Kohima, the outage is necessary to facilitate the relocation of a double pole structure that has become unstable due to a landslide.
The power supply to the following areas will be disrupted during the shutdown period: Secretariat Area, Lower Bayavü, Khikha-Rüleizou, Merema, and Thizama.

The department assured that every effort will be made to restore electricity before the stipulated time. Consumers in the affected areas have been requested to take necessary precautions and cooperate with the department during the period of disruption.
