DIMAPUR — Elite Cricket Club defeated Brotherhood Team by six wickets to win the 3rd Kohima Inter-Club T20 Cricket Tournament at the Sovima Cricket Ground on Thursday.
This victory marked their third consecutive title in the Kohima District Cricket Association (KDCA) Inter-Club Tournament, according to an update.
Brotherhood Team won the toss and elected to bat first, posting a total of 106/5 in 20 overs. Viketho top-scored with a steady 38 runs, while Chumben added 25 runs to guide the inning. For Elite Cricket Club, Sepichem bowled an effective spell, picking up 2 wickets in 4 overs.
Chasing a target of 107, defending champions Elite Cricket Club comfortably reached 110/4 in 18.4 overs. Imomemba, continuing his fine form, anchored the chase with 49 runs, supported by Zidu, who contributed 22 runs. For Brotherhood Team, Aleto claimed 2 wickets.

Imomemba of Elite Cricket Club was awarded the Man of the Match.
Organised by the Kohima District Cricket Association, the tournament had commenced on December 8. A total of eight teams participated, including the defending champions, Elite Cricket Club, and last year’s runners-up, Kohima Hornbills.
The eight teams were divided into two groups of four, with each team playing league matches within their respective groups. The top teams from each group advanced to the grand finale. Brotherhood Team topped Group A, while Elite Cricket Club finished first in Group B.
With this victory, Elite Cricket Club remains undefeated for three consecutive editions of the KDCA Inter-Club T20 Tournament.
This year’s tournament featured 13 matches over four days, played across two grounds, with participation from 112 players representing the eight clubs.
Individual awards were also presented. Imomemba (Elite Cricket Club) was named Best Batsman and Player of the Tournament. Imlisunep Jamir (T Khel Knights) was adjudged Best Wicketkeeper, while Mhajan (Tribal Legends) was named Best Bowler.
