Dimapur, May 11 (EMN): The taxi drivers union in Dimapur has appealed the ‘authority concerned’ to release unpaid amount of ‘taxi hiring charges’ incurred during the Nagaland assembly elections held this year.A press release from the All Nagaland Taxi Association (ANTA) Dimapur unit on Friday requested the money be paid on or before May 15 ‘failing which the ANTA Dimapur unit will not be able to cooperate in the forthcoming (Lok Sabha) election’.
It also informed that ‘due to hike in fuel price and the conditions of the road’, the association has decided to increase the rate of taxi fare between Dimapur and Kohima to INR 250 from INR 220 per passenger. The new rate will be effective from June 1, it informed.
