Dimapur, Nov. 12 (EMN): The establishment of the Chief Electoral Officer of Nagaland has informed that ‘Chuna Pathshala’ or ‘voters awareness forums’ are to be constituted and training imparted to encourage ‘electoral literacy’ among the people at the grass root. Government bulletin DIPR offered updates on Monday informing about the election department’s programme.
The DIPR stated that the Chief Electoral Officer Abhijit Sinha had issued a notification informing that publicity forums are to be constituted and training in voters’ awareness has to be given, as directed by the Election Commission of India. The purpose of said forums and training is to disseminate electoral literacy among the people at the grass root level, the updates stated.
A one-day training programme for those who missed the first training that was held on October 9, has been scheduled to be conducted in the DC’s conference hall in Kohima on November 19, at 10:00 AM. Two representatives of each of the listed civil organizations are invited to attend said event. Participants will be paid allowances as admissible, the DIPR stated.
