Dimapur, Oct. 11 (EMN): The election authority of Nagaland has announced the special summary revision of photo electoral rolls that has been scheduled to be conducted till October 31.
The special summary revision is to be conducted with reference to January 1 2019 as the qualifying date, and has commenced in the state of Nagaland with the publication of the integrated draft roll on September 11 2018, the establishment of the chief electoral officer of Nagaland stated in a circular on Thursday.
“The period for filing of claims and objections for inclusion, deletion, correction and transposition of entries in the electoral roll will continue till 31st October 2018,” the circular read.
Further, for convenience, a second special campaign will be conducted in all the polling stations across the state on October 13, Saturday.
“On this special campaign day, the concerned booth level officers will be available at their respective polling station with copy of the draft electoral roll and the various requisite forms.
All are hence requested to visit their polling stations on this date to verify their entries in the electoral roll and to file claims/objections, if any, in the relevant form with the booth level officers,” the establishment stated.
