Education to introduce Nagaland Disaster Management School Safety Policy compliance course
Department of School Education and the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA), in collaboration with the NagaEd, have decided to introduce the second phase Nagaland Disaster Management School Safety Policy
- DIMAPUR — The
Department of School Education and the Nagaland State Disaster Management
Authority (NSDMA), in collaboration with the NagaEd, have decided to introduce
the second phase Nagaland Disaster Management School Safety Policy (NDMSSP)
compliance course.
- An update from the Education department stated that it is an
online mandatory training programme for all teachers of both government and
private schools in the state to equip them with the necessary knowledge and
skills to ensure a safe and resilient educational environment across the state.
- The second phase of the compliance course is to be completed
by October 31, 2025. By this date, it is expected that all teachers in the
state would have completed the school safety policy compliance course.
- It, therefore, notified those teachers, who registered for
the compliance course in phase 1 but have not yet completed the training, to
complete the course by June 30 and receive certification. It stated that
teachers who are yet to register are required to do so during phase 2 and
complete the course and receive certifications.
- Teachers who have already completed the course and received
their certifications are requested to assist their peers in registering and
completing the course.
- It informed that the compliance course is available on the
department of School Education website https://education.nagaland.gov.in/
- It has asked to search for the NDMSSP course and click on
‘Read more,’ followed by ‘Click here to register’ to register for the course
and ‘Click here to login’ to log into the course. Upon successful completion,
teachers are asked to download their certificates from the dashboard.

- The Education department has informed all concerned that the
application formats for recognition, renewal of recognition and upgradation of
permitted private schools (primary and upper primary) and recognition format
for permitted pre- schools have been uploaded on the department's website
https://education.nagaland.gov.in.
- It informed that the formats would be available from the
date of issue of this notification till March 15, 2025. Any school wanting to
apply could download the required format and submit the same to the department
within the stipulated time.
