Education drive on hypertension, diabetes held at Kigwema village

DIMAPUR — A health education programme and poster exhibition on hypertension and diabetes mellitus was conducted at Kigwema Village Council Hall on April 17.

According to a press release, the participants included the village council chairman and members, the chairperson of the women organisation, and leaders and members of self-help groups.

Dr. Superna Khera, Chief Medical Officer (SAG) of National Institute of Public Health Training and Research (NIPHTR) Mumbai, delivered a brief speech during the event. Additionally, Yungmei L Phom provided a health talk and conducted a quiz on healthy eating habits for hypertension and diabetes mellitus.

An exercise demonstration was presented by Lipokakum Jamir.
