Education department directs schools to admit students from Manipur

DIMAPUR— The School Education department has directed all the head of institutions following the state curriculum to grant provisional admission to students upto class 7, who are inhabitants of Nagaland and returned from Manipur following the law and order situation without the production of educational documents from the school previously studied.

The department notification stated that parents of such students should submit an undertaking to the effect that they would submit all required documents before the commencement of the third term examination 2023, failing which the provisional admission granted might be canceled.

It added that admissions to classes 8 and above should be done with the prior approval of the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). 

Meanwhile, the department informed that is collecting data on students, who are residents/ inhabitants of Nagaland and returned from Manipur following the law and order situation.

In this regard, head of all schools including government, private, NBSE, CBSE, ICSE functioning within the state of Nagaland to submit the number of such students admitted in their schools since May 2023 at the activities tab provided at the online school monitoring portal https://school.dosenl.in on or before June 12 without fail.
