Dimapur, July 29 (EMN): Members of the youth capacity building group, CAN Youth, and a number of educational institutions organised a “vacation” to nongovernmental care organisations Swadhar Greh, Prodigals Home, Touch of Hope (children’s home) at Shokhuvi 7th mile and Ebenezer Orphanage Home at Indisen village in Dimapur this July.
The visiting team comprised members of the youth group and North East Institute Of Social Sciences & Research (NEISSR) at Dimapur, Bosco Institute of Jorhat, Lovely Professional University at Punjab and NEF College of Management and Technology at Guwahati, updates stated.
The CAN Youth issued a press release to the media on Monday informing about the programme.
‘The objective of the vacation reach out is to mould children on their interpersonal skills, help them to develop effective communication skills and confident level, and helping them to improve on their listening skills, self awareness and self responsibility through life skill based activities,’ the press release stated.
The program featured motivational talks, and career and skill guidance besides outdoor activities and games, the updates stated.
The program started from July 15 and concluded on the 24th of July, the press release stated.
The organisation has another programme lined up. In collaboration with Phoenix Institute of Aviation and Hospitality at Guwahati, the CAN Youth will be conducting a workshop on aviation, hospitality and personality development on August 7 at 2:00 pm at Tourist Lodge in Dimapur.
A separate note from the organisation on Monday stated that the program will include ‘not only theoretical knowledge.
It will also include different activities and quality training for participants to develop their personality skills with special focus on unemployed youths and school/college going students of Dimapur ‘by creating job avenues for them,’ the press release stated.
Phoenix Institute of Aviation and Hospitality is an institute with a unique curriculum and innovative programs and have high growth not only in aviation but also in hospitality, grooming and personality development, the CAN Youth stated.
“They also provide 6 months certification course on aviation, hospitality, and personality development where one can be groomed by an ex-international cabin crew (sic) having an experience of over 8 years in international airlines,” the press release stated.
