
MOKOKCHUNG — The director of Economics and Statistics, Neidilhou Angami, inaugurated a flat-type staff at Mareplong ward in Mokokchung town on September 27 in the presence of officials from the directorate as well as district officials led by DESO.
Speaking at the inaugural programme, the director has termed the new building as a big asset of the department saying that such magnitude of constructions doesn’t happen regularly in the department. He, therefore, urged the officers and staff of the department to take utmost care of the building.
[bsa_pro_ad_space id=1]He also expressed hope that through the utilisation of the infrastructure, the staff would give their best while performing official duties adding that “better provision, better facilities comes with better performance from the officers and staff.”
The director expressed hope that they would be able to achieve greater things together and enable the department to provide reliable and accurate statistics for better policy planning of the state.
He director further informed that the department has planned to construct such type of staff quarters in all the districts in the future. He informed that it was the third of such building constructed so far by the department.
The dedicatory prayer of the building was proposed by Mar, pastor of Marepkong Baptist Arogo, while the technical report was presented by Kezhalelhou Solo, deputy director of EE PWD (H) Division-I.
