ECI hands over names of elected MLAs to Nagaland Governor

The Election Commission of India (ECI) notification for the constitution of new Nagaland Legislative Assembly has been formally handed over to Governor La. Ganesan upon successful conduct of the state assembly election and the declaration of results.

The notification dated March 2, 2023 has the names of the members elected from the 60 assembly constituencies along with the party affiliation, informed an update from the CEO Office Nagaland.

“The governor congratulated the delegation on the successful conduct of the 14th NLA general election which was by and large peaceful. He said that the people's active democratic participation was seen through the high voter turnout,” it stated.

The ECI team was led by Under Secretary Surinder Singh, ASO Vivek Kumar, and ASO Ankur Matla, while the CEO team was led by Addl. CEO Ruokuovituo Kezhie, Joint CEO Awa Lorin, and Joint Secretary and OSD Hiazu Meru. Dimapur, March 4 (EMN)
