DIMAPUR — The Eastern Sumi Hoho held a special thanksgiving programme on February 13 at Phisami village, Kiphire, to celebrate the signing of the Frontier Nagaland Territorial Authority (FNTA) agreement with the Government of India on February 5.
According to a press release, Eastern Sumi Hoho President K Tokishe Sema delivered the president’s speech, expressing gratitude to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Ministry of Home Affairs for granting the FNTA to the people of eastern Nagaland.
He also extended thanks to S Phangnon Konyak, Rajya Sabha MP from Nagaland, and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, along with the Government of Nagaland, for the efforts taken and positive support in successfully making this agreement possible.

Tokishe further thanked the entire Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) team and all supporters whose backing made this achievement possible.
During the programme, presidents of the Eastern Sumi Kukami Hoho, Eastern Nagaland Sumi Officers’ Union, Eastern Nagaland Sumi Students’ Union, Eastern Sumi Totomi Hoho, and Eastern Sumi Youth Front expressed thanks to the Eastern Sumi Hoho, the ENPO team, the study analysis and recommendations team, and every individual who contributed to this long struggle.
