- DIMAPUR — The
Eastern Nagaland Sumi Students' Union (ENSSU) has appealed to the principal
director of the Directorate of School Education for the urgent appointment of a
Science teacher at Government High School, Sitimi town, Kiphire district.
- In a letter to the principal director, ENSSU stated that the
school has been selected for the NECTAR Lighthouse Project, which aims to
enhance the quality of education. However, despite this selection, the school
is currently operating without a Science teacher, severely impacting the
students' learning.
- Noting that GHS Sitimi Town is the best-performing school in
the Sitimi area, consistently producing commendable results, the union added
that in order to maintain this standard and ensure students receive proper
education, it is imperative that a qualified Science teacher be appointed at
the earliest.
- It was mentioned that the absence of a Science teacher is
not only affecting the academic performance of students but also hindering
their overall educational development.
- The union requested immediate action to appoint a Science
teacher at GHS Sitimi town to facilitate the smooth functioning of the school
and uphold the quality of education under the NECTAR Lighthouse Project.
