- DIMAPUR — The
Eastern Nagaland Students’ Federation (ENSF) conducted its official handing and
taking over programme on Friday at its sub-office, DUDA Guest House, Kohima.
- Presidents and officials from all federating and units of
ENSF along with advisors and former leaders of the federation attended the
programme, a press release stated.
- In his farewell address, the outgoing president Chingmak
Chang expressed deep gratitude to the eight foundational units of ENSF. He
acknowledged the immense challenges encountered in upholding the legacy of
ENSF, noting that leadership demands both resilience and dedication.

- Chang also emphasised the importance of serious deliberation
on key issues such as the Frontier Naga Territory (FNT).
- The newly inducted president Nuheymong Yimkhiung, in his
inaugural address, expressed appreciation to the outgoing team and senior
leaders for their role in moulding and mentoring him for leadership. He
appealed to former leaders, federating units, and elders to continue extending
their support to the new team for an effective and successful tenure.
- A message was delivered by Changsang Soted, advisor to ENSF,
who commended the outgoing team for achieving significant milestones. He
emphasised that the responsibilities within ENSF are continuous and require
resilience, humility, and a willingness to accept constructive criticism.
- The advisor also reiterated that the primary focus of the
federation must remain the welfare of the student community.
- The programme concluded with a collective mass prayer, the
release stated.
