- DIMAPUR — The Eastern Nagaland National
Workers Association (ENNWA), GPRN/NSCN (Unification), convened an emergency
meeting on Thursday, resulting in a resolution that reaffirmed the unified
commitment of all central civil and army cadres, as well as regional workers,
to the GPRN/NSCN under the leadership of
Gen. (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak, President, and Alezo Venuh, Ato Kilonser.
- According to an update, the ENNWA condemned and denounced
Kitovi's alleged “manipulation of the nomenclature NSCN-NK (Neokpao-Kitovi) as
‘Nixukhu Kitovi’, characterising it as self-aggrandising and inappropriately
flattering in relation to the ceasefire extension with the Government of India
(GoI)”.
- It was stated that the ENNWA asserts that Kitovi’s primary
political objective continues to be the deception of the public, even after his
impeachment and expulsion from the GPRN/NSCN, and it will not be influenced by
such unsubstantiated propaganda.
- The ENNWA further censured Kitovi for his disparaging
remarks regarding Gen. (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak, referring to him as old and
outdated. The ENNWA declared that the ceasefire agreement established between
the GoI and Kitovi's associates with the NSCN (NK) affix will be deemed invalid
and inapplicable within the territories of eastern Nagaland.
- The association called upon all stakeholders to engage in
constructive dialogue and work towards a lasting solution that respects the
will of the Naga people.
