Dimapur, Feb. 14 (EMN): GOC-in-C Eastern Command, Lieutenant General Abhay Krishna, arrived in Kohima on February 14 on a two day visit to Nagaland to review the security situation.
He was briefed by Inspector General Assam Rifles (North) on the prevailing security situation. The army commander, after reviewing the security situation, expressed his satisfaction on the preparations.
Later, the GOC-in-C exhorted the officers and troops of Assam Rifles to continue to put their best foot forward and work with dedication and professionalism. He expressed his confidence that Assam Rifles would live upto it’s motto of ‘Friends of the North East.’
