Dimapur, Nov. 6 (EMN): Lieut. Gen. Manoj Mukund Naravane, AVSM, SM, VSM, Eastern Army Commander visited the Spear Corps on Tuesday to assess the security situation in the northeastern states. He was briefed at Likabali about progress of operations being undertaken by the Corps.
The army commander commenced his visit from Likabali during the day and would be in the Spear Corps Zone till Nov. 7, stated a press statement from the PIB.
The army commander is accompanied by Spear Corps General officer commanding, Lieut. Gen. Gopal R, AVSM, SM for the duration of the visit and will be briefed by the operational commanders.
He will also interact with heads of other security agencies operating in these states.
The amy commander will also call on Brig. B D Mishra (Retd), Governor of Arunachal Pradesh, the PIB release stated.
