Dimapur, September 22 : The East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) has asked citizens, especially shopkeepers, in the East Dimapur areas to be vigilant following reported burglary of several shops during the past week.
The EDBA issued a note on Thursday stating loss of goods worth in the lakh.
“This is to inform to all the shop owners / business houses located in East Dimapur jurisdiction that since last 5 days around 8 shops were stolen by breaking the locks and shutters and goods and cash worth lakhs of rupees were stolen,” the note stated.
“Though case has been registered in this regard but no one has been arrested yet. It is advised to all the shop owners to take preventive measures to protect their shops from such kind of incidents and the East Dimapur Business Association (EDBA) would like to request to all the concern citizens to inform the police or the office bearers of EDBA if they see any untoward incident happening in and around the shops,” it added.
