
DIMAPUR— Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has extended festival greetings to the Khiamniungans and Yimkhiungs on the occasion of Biam and Metemneo, respectively. Patton said that the “festivals add colour to the already vibrant culture, and as the people come together to celebrate, it reminds of the strong unity and brotherhood.” On behalf of the state BJP legislators, the deputy chief minister conveyed “heartiest festive greetings and hope that it will bring forth peace and prosperity.”
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister TR Zeliang also conveyed greetings to all members of Yimkhiung tribe on the occasion of Metemneo festival.

“Metemneo festival is an importance festival of Yimkiung tribe and people of Nagaland as it marks the celebration of the harvest of new crops and thanksgiving occasion to the almighty god for bountiful harvest,” Zeliang said in his greetings.
