DIMAPUR — The Dimapur Urban Council Chairmen Federation (DUCCF) has condemned the alleged robbery of a woman at gunpoint in broad daylight near her residence at Aokong Colony in Dimapur on April 13.
The victim was identified as Abigail, wife of Sungjemtoshi. The federation stated that such a brazen act of crime in a residential area is deeply disturbing and poses a serious threat to the safety and security of citizens.
In a press statement, it urged the law enforcement authorities to take swift and decisive action to apprehend the perpetrators at the earliest. An FIR has been lodged at the West Police Station regarding the incident.
The DUCCF reiterated that such incidents have no place in a peaceful society and called upon authorities to strengthen security measures to ensure justice is delivered promptly.
It also appealed to the citizens of Dimapur to remain vigilant, cooperative, and proactive in safeguarding their neighbourhoods while supporting efforts to maintain law and order.
