Drug peddler nabbed; over 1000 drug capsules seized

Mokokchung, April 20 (EMN): Mokokchung police have arrested a drug peddler and seized more than a thousand capsules of the painkiller drug Spasmo Proxyvon on April 19. According to a police report, the contraband was seized from the possession of one Wongtoba Chang (26), of Chongmelen village in Tuensang district. [caption id="attachment_177648" align="alignleft" width="320"] Mokokchung police display the contraband.[/caption] On April 19 evening, the SOT team of Mokokchung District Executive Force stopped a Dastun Go in which the drug peddler was travelling, at Ari junction at Alichen, at around 5:00 pm. On searching the vehicles, the police said, 12850 Spasmo Proxyvon capsules were found neatly packed in different compartments of the vehicle. The police added that the drug peddler was a regular drugs user and had bought the contraband from Dimapur at a cost of INR 50,000. He was heading to Tuensang to sell the drugs in the black market, police said. The approximate value of the seized drug consignment could not be ascertained in the grey market. In this connection, a complaint has been lodged with Mokokchung Police Station-II, it was informed.
