The team during the joint inspection of pharmacies in
Dimapur for narcotic and psychotropic drug compliance on February 14.
- DIMAPUR — A joint
inspection of pharmacies (wholesalers/distributors) in Dimapur dealing with
narcotic and psychotropic drugs was carried out on February 14 by the Narco
Coordination Centre team Dimapur, comprising the district administration,
Dimapur Police, and the Drugs Control Department Dimapur, headed by the Drugs
Control Officer, Dimapur, Dr. T Zubemo Kikon.
- According to an update, the team verified and compared
records such as quantity purchased, quantity sold, and quantity in stock and
found them to be satisfactory. This indicates that the distributors were
adhering to the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940, and the Drugs
and Cosmetics Rules, 1945.
- It was mentioned that the team will be inspecting on a
regular basis and directed all retailers and distributors in Dimapur to
maintain proper records of the purchase and sale of drugs.
