Dimapur, March 29 (EMN): The Dhansiri River Flood Control Board (DRFCB) has pleaded the authorised department to allot construction of suspension bridge at Old Dhansiri Bridge at the earliest for the safety of the public. DRFCB Vice-Chairman & PRO Hekuto Wotsa, in a press note stated that while the government authorised persons have started dismantling and reconstructing the Old Dhansiri Bridge, residents living on both sides of the river have been facing difficulties as they have to commute daily for various activities. He also stated that over 1000 commuters, especially the poorer section of the society who cannot afford transportation fare, are precariously plying on the old bridge route and the temporary structure meant for telecom cables.
