Dimapur, July 13 (EMN): To encourage the importance of drama among the Community in Nagaland, Sanskar Bharati Poorvottar Nagaland Prant conducted 15 days workshop for free from May 7 to 21, at Nritya Academy of Dance and Arts (NADA), Old Daily Market.
The drama, ‘Heroes of Northeast’ was enacted by 20 participants. The drama depicted a Naga folk story “Mehoviu and Morusa”- an ethnic story played by Karthick Kumar as Morusa (the lead role), Sneha Dhar (Mehoviu), Kaushik Dasgupta (Father of Morusa) Pooja Das Paul (Imaginary character of evil), Ati ( mother of Morusa), Naro (villager), Neeta Agarwal ( Imaginary character of Good), Neera ( Mother of Mehoviu), Manish ( friend of Morusa), Kamal Mazumder ( Father of Mehoviu), Yana (villager), Mamta (villager).
The play was directed by Kilang and Ripam Bharadwaj (Freelancers in Drama).
