Dimapur, Jan. 30 (EMN): In the first match of the ongoing 20th Inter-District Football Championship (Dr. T. Ao Trophy) on the second day at the Indira Gandhi Stadium, on Wed. Jan. 30, Phek district thrashed Wokha 5-0.
In the first half of the match, two goals were scored by Lavoriyi. Meanwhile, in the second half, Phek team scored three goals through Punuru Nienu, Rhitsho Mero, and Khwetelhi Thopi to finish the game 5-0.
In the second match, Peren humiliated Kiphire 7-0. It was Khangkinwibo Pamay who scored in the 6th minute and Suohiampou Kamei’s penalty that earned the team 2-0 in the first half.
In the second half, Emsolung scored in the 46th minute, Ratobe N. Poireng scored in the 50th and 73rd, Nampibo Renta in the 77th, and Zumzum in 79th minute to make it 7-0.
