Mokokchung, Chümoukedima, and Peren win on day 2 of Dr. T Ao Trophy 2025 as Mon and Tuensang end in a 1-1 draw at IG Stadium Kohima.

KOHIMA — Mokokchung, Chümoukedima, and Peren registered wins against their opponents, while Mon and Tuensang ended in a 1-1 draw on the second day of the ongoing Dr. T Ao Trophy 24th Inter-district Football Championship at IG Stadium, Kohima, on Saturday.
The day’s opening match (match 2) between Mon and Tuensang ended in a 1-1 draw. Kicked off at 9:00 am, K Arap scored the goal for Mon in the 22nd minute, giving them an early lead. However, S Ayengmongba of Tuensang scored an equaliser in the 71st minute.

Chümoukedima emerged victorious in the second match (match 3) of the day, winning 1-0 against Longleng. Katoho scored the only goal of the match in the 8th minute, eventually securing the win for Chümoukedima.
Mokokchung outclassed Wokha with a 3-1 victory in the third match of the day. For Mokokchung, Sentilong scored in the 46th minute, Takotuba in the 70th minute, and Meyasenba in the 70+3rd minute. The lone goal for Wokha was scored by Saronbemo in the 64th minute.
Peren crushed Meluri 4-1 in the final match of the day. Yithachu of Meluri scored the first goal of the match in the 17th minute. Peren came back stronger and went on to secure four goals. Nrakhak scored a brace in the 41st and 66th minutes, respectively, while Kenumdi also scored two goals in the 45th and 50th minutes.
