Dimapur, Nov. 21 (EMN): Trinity Club Kiruphema, Sumi Games and sports Association, Changtongya Volleyball Association and MH 10 Kohima entered the semi-finals of the ongoing Dr. Imkongliba Memorial Volleyball Trophy organised by Japukong Youth organisation at Dimapur Government College ground on Nov. 21.
The teams progressed to the semi-finals based on their performance in the league matches played during the course of two days.
The first semi-final match will be played between Trinity Club Kiruphema and Sumi Games and Sports Association at 2 pm today, November 22, and the semi-final will be between Changtongya Volleyball Association and MH 10 Kohima. The winners of the semi-finals will play for the championship title on the same day.
Minister of Rural Development Metsubo Jamir will attend the valedictory function of the event which is scheduled for 5 pm.
The prize money for the event is INR 1, 20,000 for the champion, INR 75,000 for the runners-up and INR 25,000 each for the losing semi-finalists. Individual’s prize money for the best spiker, best setter and player of the tournament is INR 10,000 each.
