DPS Dimapur retains CBSE Girls’ Zonal Volleyball Championship trophy

Dimapur, Nov. 2 (EMN): DPS Dimapur girl’s team retained the CBSE Zonal U-19 Girls’ Volleyball Championship which was held in DPS Nazira.
An update on Saturday stated that altogether 25 teams from the North Eastern region took part in the championship. The winning team comprised of Pompi Borah, Durgeswary Rongchehonpi, Lumaren M Walling, Y M Wanshom Konyak, Kitheli X Yeptho, Teihngam Wangnao, Spriha Sharma, Pulokali Achumi, and Kanikali Achumi. Teihngam Wangnao also won the best player of the tournament award.
The school athletic team also did well in the inter-district tournament. Among the achievers is Meyie-Ü Krome, a student of class VIII who also won 1st and 2nd position in 800m and long jump at CBSE Nationals last year.
