- DIMAPUR — The monthly meeting of District
Planning and Development Board (DPDB), Tuensang, was held on Tuesday at DC’s
conference hall under the chairmanship of Shelley Katiry, Additional Deputy
Commissioner, Tuensang.

- While reviewing the last month’s meeting minutes, the
chairman apprised the house that a warehouse for e-waste collection is set to
be completed within a month, after which e-waste collection will commence from
government offices and institutions, according to a DIPR report.
- The meeting discussed key agenda items, recommending
registration for Sozo Mission Society and approving Tuensang town's extension
into surrounding village areas, with a survey to follow soon.
- Dr. Imlitemsu Ozukum, CMO Tuensang, highlighted on Nikshay
Mitra which aims to provide nutritional support to TB patients and requested
the members to contribute money for TB patients in the district.
- As entrusted, the District Fishery Officer presented the
department’s activities to the board.

Along, chaired the Mangkolemba Sub-Divisional and Planning Board (SDPDB)
monthly meeting on June 9 at the customary court, accompanied by vice chairman
Moakumzuk Tzudir and ADC Mangkolemba, along with the district planning officer.
- In his address, the chairman expressed optimism about the
ongoing Longnak, Tsurangkong, and Jangpetkong road upgrades, highlighting their
potential to boost regional development, similar to the Foothill Road
initiative.
- Acknowledging the subdivision's challenges despite its age,
Along emphasised the need for officials to be more responsible, sincere, and
accessible to the public. He urged them to work diligently to address community
issues and called on stakeholders to collaborate for the subdivision's
development.

- The house assembly deliberated on the following agenda
items: the promotion of CHC Mangkolemba to an empanelled hospital under the
CMHIS framework; the transfer of MGNREGA bank accounts for the village to the
Mangkolemba subdivision from the Mokokchung headquarters; the establishment of
an urban sub-station for Alongkima and Longnak towns; the relocation of the
school from Puneboto village to Mithite village; the construction of a market
complex in Mangkolemba town, along with the establishment of a town council
office in Mangkolemba; the pressing necessity to address the poor road
conditions within the Longchem circle; and the construction of a border guest
house in Akumen village.
- The assembly discussed several key agenda items, including,
upgrading CHC Mangkolemba to an empanelled hospital, transferring MGNREGA bank
accounts to Mangkolemba sub-division, setting up an urban sub-station for
Alongkima and Longnak, relocating Puneboto School to Mithite village, building
a market complex and town council office in Mangkolemba, and improving Longchem
circle's road conditions.
- After thorough consideration, the assembly found the
proposals to be valid and resolved to forward them to the government for
approval.
