Dimapur, August 15: As a part of NGO’s visit to institutions to observe Independence Day, Dimapur Press Club (DPC) visited the Spastic Society of St. Mary’s Montessori and Higher Secondary School (SMMHS), Dimapur, which has currently enrolled 29 children with two teachers.
Principal of SMMHS, Neena Dutta, giving a brief highlight of the Spastic Society, said existing Spastic Society was a dream of her late husband who envisioned to provide equal learning space to the differently-abled children in the society. In a close knit programme, the students of Spastic Society presented dance through the patriotic song ‘Vande Mataram’ and a musical dance.
DPC President Moa Longkumar and former DPC General Secretary Paudi Rentta addressed the staff of SMMHS and students on behalf of the DPC.
Commemorating the 70th Independence Day, the DPC distributed gifts and goodies to the Spastic Society and the students.
