DIMAPUR — The
office of the Land Owners' Union (LOU), Doyang Hydro Power Station (DHPS),
informed that, as per meeting “resolution no. 02” of the executive members and
office bearers, dated November 19, the LOU has hereby nullified the landowners'
certificates issued to non-ancestral land-affected people with immediate
effect.
According to an update, in the interest of the ancestral
land-affected owners of Doyang Hydro Power Station, the LOU, DHPS, unanimously
resolved not to entertain or allow non-ancestral land-affected people seeking
civil contract work and employment at DHPS.
In this regard, the union urged North Eastern Electric Power
Corporation (NEEPCO) and the government of Nagaland to acknowledge the stated
resolutions for the smooth functioning and prosperity of the only sustaining
power plant in the state of Nagaland.
