Dimapur, Feb. 14 (EMN): A one-day awareness programme on safety of fisherman and distribution of life saving vests to fisherman of Doyang was organised on January 26 on the theme “Safety First.” The programme was organised under the chief ministers special development programme (CMSDP) 2018-2019.
The Society for Disaster Mitigation Ecology and Environmental Protection (SDMEEP) along with the fishing community of Doyang dam has acknowledged and expressed gratitude to the state chief minister, Neiphiu Rio, for his wisdom in reaching out to the most deserving community.
The society has further expressed gratitude to Mhathung Yanthan, advisor of horticulture, under whose selfless and personal initiative, the programme was made possible.
