Dimapur, Dec. 20: To ensure smooth release of Pre-matric scholarship scheme through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode in the bank, Department of School Education has directed all those students who have applied for the same under Ministry of Minority Affairs to rectify them immediately.
Department of School Education issued this notification as the ministry observed instances where the scholarship amount could not be credited through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode in the bank account of students due to many bank accounts being indicated as non-active/ non operational/ dormant/ transaction limit fixed account etc. Moreover, it was reported that in many cases, bank account validation in PFMS has not been successful as many bank accounts are in banks where core banking facility is not available.
