Dimapur, Nov. 28 (EMN): The Directorate of School Education (DoSE) has cautioned the public, especially those aspiring teachers, against certain antisocial elements luring untrained in-service teachers from Nagaland with promise of providing B.Ed and D.El.Ed certificates from Universities / Institutions functioning outside Nagaland.
the director of school education, Wonthungo Tsopoe, in a press release, while cautioning the public not to be duped, brought to the notice of all concern about the rules and regulations for the conduct of teacher training programme as prescribed by the competent authority.
Tsopoe said that 'no State University other than Central Universities has jurisdiction to offer Distance Education programmes beyond the boundaries of their respective States' and that all government employees are required to obtain 'prior permission from the appointing authority for pursuing any course of study whether through regular or correspondent mode. He further cautioned that all educational and professional certificates submitted by the serving officials and new recruits are being scrutinized and verified with the concern issuing authorities.
Warning that submitting forged/false documents are liable to be prosecuted for criminal offence as per the rules, Tsopoe advised all concern 'not to fall prey to the greed of antisocial elements'.
