DIMAPUR — The deputy commissioner and district election officer of Kohima, Kumar Ramnikant, has notified all concerned that the casting of postal ballots by absentee voters (AVSC-85 years and older, AVPD and AVCO) who have opted for voting through postal ballots and are found eligible shall be conducted on April 9 and 10.
According to a DIPR report, the door-to-door casting and collection of postal ballots shall be conducted by polling teams, along with a micro-observer and videographer, starting April 9 from 8 am to 4 pm (first visit).
However, if they are unable to locate any voter(s) during the first visit, the polling teams will visit for the second time on April 10. All concerned political parties and candidates have been informed to assign representatives on the specified dates at the respective polling station to witness the process.
